Suicidal taxi drivers and Britney Spears

Greetings fans, lovers, haters and everyone else in between. It's possibly the greatest period of the week ever. You're feeling fully charged up after a fine sleep last night and you know you've got a day off tomorrow to enjoy. It's only down hill from this point.

So what's new with yours truly? Well nothing dreadful has happened within the past 24 hours (which is a new change for this year) so i'm feeling fairly merry. I went out tonight and kept my antics to a rather tame level which suggests i might be able to stick to my whole 'less crazy antics' vow i made myself after the chaos of wednesday night and the whole 'too much wine means i walk around town drunken for 2 hours and have barely any sleep for work' shenanigans.

Monday brings the return of December to us all and i have to openly admit i am looking forward to this month a great detail just because i know it's one month to go until I can get shot of this dreadful year once and for all. I know in a way it's just a year but i feel once 1st January kicks in i can finally start to rid myself of the dark shadows haunting me at the moment. Even though christmas should be about as enjoyable this year as a hernia exam. I used to brag about my love for christmas and the wonderful christmas song's id be blasting but this year i might keep it low key and just play some britney tracks.

Talking of britney. She's fantastic. Shame about her sister.

Anyway back to tonight. I went to milly's or should be milJY's (What is the J about) for a low key evening with Armstrong-Tideswell productions. On the way to petes though i almost died. Nope i'm not even joking.

You know then you get in a taxi that you're in trouble once you open the door and you hear loud, obnoxious music blasting out. Especially if it's a Jay Z song. Yes the music was on incredibly loud. Not a good sign for the taxi driver you've got. Even worse if it's dead foggy and the driver looks like a bad scally and decides to boy race every car we go past and drive 100mph. I had my seat belt fastened and just sat back casually not really caring much for what would happen. A head on collision with a coach full of pensioners who are travelling to provide life saving blood donations to a childrens hospital. Yeah that'd pretty much sum up my year.

But nope i survived for another day.

In my head as I got out of the car all i could hear was Rihanna telling me to 'live my life...'

You know I often have weird and eerie predictions and they're usually dreadfully wrong. In fact they've only ever gone right the day i said to Graham Nall "i think something weird might happen today" on the day of september 11th. I've often had eerie feelings since and nothing has happened. But tomorrow, a boring sunday ahead, i think something could happen. You'll be glad to know if it does you'll hear it first.

Until tomorrow i hope your taxis are kind and lovely and you always life your life. Muicho gracias, kind thoughts and much love.

My life is a crazed messed up existence

I quit.

Well i'm considering it. I'm getting too old for going out for "one or two drinks" after work and suddenly waking up at 6:30am and getting up for work after only 2 hours sleep. I'm fed up of that feeling of being totally owned by a hangover.

I blame The RoonMeister. That damn alter ego of myself. The guy who loves to party and socialise. I blame him totally. He's a bastard with no morals or conscience. He doesn't care about me having to work the next day. He randomly texts people all night in order to get them to go out until some poor idiot agrees and he has a partner for his wild and stupid antics.

In all seriousness I need to quit my stupid ways. Yes it's massively comical and yes it would make a great tv show if someone bothered to film my life but i'm getting fed of using flexi time to escape work the next day and sleep the rest of the afternoon away.

Shame there is no respite at all for me. I thought a few weeks of a quiet existence might tame me and introduce me to a more calmer lifestyle of going out once a week and thats it. Sadly a work christmas night out and a party to go all stand in front of me.

In other news my weekend of having to be in work is over so i'm now free to enjoy this weekend by doing sod all. Nothing else of any interest has occurred in my life except for my antics on wednesday which descended into trailing the hot spots of town and walking miles to get a taxi. The horrible feeling of setting your alarm on your phone and seeing it flash up with the count down of '2 hours 10 minutes until alarm" makes you want to self harm. Not even in a good way.

It was at that point i decided to quit these antics. I'm 23 damnit...i can't keep up with it anymore. Let's see how long that'll last.

Jig for Jack

The woodlands hospice night to raise money was last night and was quite a success. As i said the concept was quite simple. We charged people money to buy tickets, sold raffle tickets, did an auction to raise the old cash whilst the rest of the night was simply there to drink excessively. Which I managed to do.

Turn out was massive so i have to thank all my friends for that who turned up in their droves. In fact turn out generally was huge meaning the lack of seats was a bit of a pain but after a few glasses of wine i didnt really notice where I was crammed in or stood up next to.

Half way through the night me, my mum and my sister went on to the stage to do the raffle drawing. I thought i'd be up on stage for a few minutes. Unfortunately, or in fortunately however you look at it, we had quite a lot of things donated which needed to be win. I was on that stage for about a year of my life drawing little tickets. After about 10 minutes i could interest wane. Even the Dj's stood to one side looked bored and anxious to restart the music. Yet we still had a lot of drawing to go...

I had a goal once i got up stage to give my own little speech. Only a minute or two where i would basically sit in the spotlight and feed my ego whilst thanking a few people. But due to the fact the raffle went on to extreme limits (where actually two ice ages began and ended)and my mum whispering sharply down my ear to be quick (which was bitterly ironic) my speech was more of a sentence and the jokes I had planned were edited out.

The main speech I had planned was going to include some jokes about the length of time the raffle took, a joke about homeless people and a joke about Princess Diana. Perhaps it's for the best the speech was cut down. It could have been pretty controversial. So controversial at the end of it i would look up and see a weeping Andrew Sachs standing in the corner.

At least in my 30 seconds of fame on the microphone i thanked my friends and family for their help and support in the year. Lots of people helped in their own way but all contributed to me not plummeting from my little world. It's crazy how in this world we live in you can thank people and tell them how much you appreciate their actions but in the end of days do people really understand how much they assisted you? Do people really know what would have happened if they hadn't been there? I find words are cheap in these circumstances. Actions as they say speak louder than words. But how do you show this? By being there then they need help? Maybe we only know the real answers to this world by searching our own minds for the clues.

A bit of a weird discussion going on there. Anyway the good point about giving my speech is it gave me the chance to obviously air my views but also use it as an excuse to get off the stage and leave my mum and sister on there. Whilst I strutted off the stage people chanted my name in unison. I have to say it was one of the sexiest moments in my life. Forget sexy nights or romantic evenings THIS WAS IT.

The night spiralled off into a drunken haze of love and generousity. Everyone got pretty much hammered which was a lovely thing to see. At this point the camera came out and began flashing everyone, i kept my pants on though, and i managed to nail over 200 pictures in an hour and a half. So sorry anyone I blinded.

What happens after a charity night, everyone being drunk and merry? Well we head back and drink in my garage. I don't know why i thought it was a good idea nor even why people actually accepted my proposal and came back to mine but it was beautiful. My reasoning was i didn't want to stop the party but i didn't want to make a lot of noise and keep my family up plus the fact we had visitors sleeping over.

So there we were crammed into my little garage with people sitting on exercise bikes and trampolines with my ipod playing on the portable speakers. There was a lot of love in that garage...as well as spiders and freezing temperatures. I have to say on record it was the most absurd ending to a night i've ever experienced. As you might know by some of my stories and tales I like absurd. Being absurd is who i am. Experiencing new and absurd adventures keeps me going. Pete drunkenly falling over in my garage at around ten to 2 in the morning and landing on a trampoline is absurd. Posing with ant killer in photographs with a glass of wine in a beaker is also absurd. So for that I thank you all...

So yeah a successful and very funny evening had by all. Apparently we're doing another one next year. We also raised well over £1,500 which is immense for woodlands hospice.

I suppose i will also have to mention the fact that I brought back the spinarooney under severe people pressure and also the pressure of having drank a lot of wine. My reluctance to do it was intensified by the fact that surrounding the hall were neighbours, mums friends, my dads friends, my dads old collegues etc...you know the people who don't really know me but see me as that 'nice rooney boy' and not the rather 'crazed, drunk, insane rooney boy'. I really didn't want to out myself at a woodlands hospice charity night.

But my ego won out. The circle around me was formed. My name was chanted and echoed throughout the hall. People rose to their feed. I was a complete whore for the attention and I went down on spotlight and sucked hard like a good slut would.

The video was recorded so for all people who beg me in future weeks to spin on that floor once more I'll tell them to watch that video. For there it will stand in infamy and glory throughout history.

The dreams that haunt us

Sometimes the best way to escape your past is to grab your belongings, put your head down and run as fast as you can. Putting everything in the past behind you and reaching out for what you truly desire. Freedom. Escaping from the chains of your nightmares and a brand new start. The concept of being able to do that seems like a wonderful illusion. An unreachable dream. For now all i can do is stand still. The past haunts my conscious, dreams invade my mind and i am left drowning in a sea of nothingness.

A deep and powerful opening to a jokers blog. I found this whilst googling and found it quite a nice unusual way to power into another wonderful entry about my wonderful life...let's go

First things let's address some important issues. If you get a text from yours truly and you're reading this entry (i doubt you would on both accounts) but lets just state YOU ANSWER. I'm getting a little sick of ignorant people these days. It mainly leads back to those bastards who suddenly find they lose their ability to construct normal social human relationships and the ability to have manners. Remember your boyfriend is below The RoonMeister. Your family is below The RoonMeister.

I bloody tell you...shocking from some people who need to learn this...

The second main news is it's my dads charity night on friday. Ah yes a gathering of people to come together and drink in order to raise money for charity. It's a most simplistic concept. What do we humans need to survive the woes of life? Drink. So if we charge people money to come and drink we raise a lot of money for charity. Clever or what.

In all seriousness it's this friday. if you haven't got your ticket and want to share the night with yours truly it'll cost you £5.00 and you have literally days to buy it. Personally i'd pay £50.00 to spend a night with me so a fiver is literally the biggest give away ever.

The world according to me

Now after having faithfully taught you about my many misadventures and disaster stories in life I feel like i trust you enough to share you a secret about the world. Yes you see a common misconception is about to be destroyed. It's about the universe.

Scientists have been lying to you for the past 1000 years about how the universe actually works. But i've gotten used to science's ignorance and had hoped humanities wisdom would eventually mean that the truth would be known. Why brag about my superior intelligence in this matter? As scholars have always said ignorance is bliss, the wise and deserving would seek the real truth eventually anyway.

However whilst travelling through Liverpool Central train station (which i will from this point regard in this story as the 'nastiest, dark piss hole of a station') i saw a poster bragging that
Liverpool is 'centre of the universe'. You can try to feed people a lie for years but then Merseyrail of all people attempt to jokingly shit us that Liverpool is the centre of the universe I literally exploded with rage. Trust me i've taken a lot from Merseyrail, what with the never ending late trains and crappy stations plus a whole lot more..., but this is what broke the camels back. Not only broke that poor camels back but then pissed over it's decaying body. (The camel had starved to death because it had a broken back and couldnt move in case you were wondering why the camel was now dead).

Liverpool isn't the centre of the universe. In fact it shouldnt even be mentioned on a map of England. It's people certainly aren't the friendliest in the world. I'd much prefer them to be regarded as potential thieves and drug deals. Don't even get me started on Liverpool One it's new multi million pound shopping experience. Wanting to create a new part of town in a previously derelict part of town? Well the geniuses behind the project decided to simply move all the shops from the main shopping district to the new shopping district. What did that create? A happy shopping environment for the 21st century? Nope it created empty abandoned shops in the old main shopping district. Congratulations Captain Dipshit for whoeveer thought up of that idea. Plus don't even get me started on it's cramped streets in Liverpool One with all the shops squashed together and all the different levels and floors. Apparently it's trying to recreate the trafford centre.

Only one problem there. Liverpool One is in a city centre. The trafford centre is a shopping complex inside a building. Which is why things have to be compact. Whilst Liverpool One might look pretty to the artists amongst us for me it's simply an inconvenience after to squeeze past people i don't like anyway and who i'd rather self harm than have their shoulders touch mine on my way to pick up the beano from whsmith.

But anyway i'm truly just killing time here. Basically what i'm trying to say is Liverpool isn't the centre of the universe. Not at all. It's not even the sun. Nope in fact the centre of the universe is actually

ME.

As seen by the drawing you will see below.

There i have finally revealed the truth to the world. Without sounding egotistical at all you will find most things in this world actually respond to me. I cause the most sensation, the most things go wrong for me, the wkd drinks of the world seem to come towards me...it's actually because everything orbits around me. Now you may begin to realise why i stand out as much as i do. Why you feel compelled to sleep with me every second of the day. It's not immoral. It's not bizarre. It's actually science.

Maybe it's my ego or maybe it's schizophrenia that makes me think if one day somebody came up to me and said "yeah your life is actually a tv show. we've been recording you for a while and everyone around you is played by an actor and all the madcap adventures you experience are actually scripted" i'd obviously be shocked and dismayed but after a few days of contemplating this discover i'd probably begin to consider it isn't that much of a surprise.

Coupled with the fact that i've always considered and lived my life as if it's a tv show (maybe it explains why i'm emotionally dead inside) and played the big moments in my life as a twist in the storyline...i don't know why i've always seen life as one big tv joke but its been the case since i was a little kid. obviously a lot less now but who really knows what goes down in my mind. It's probably for the best that way too.

Until next time fans,

Much love

I need a haircut

Another week over and at this point i should be celebrating a 3 day weekend but because unions are complete sell outs my strike day has been cancelled and i have to go into work on monday and tolerate smug people smirking that i'm working. I hate life.

I should make my own union called "The David Rooney we won't bottle it at the last minute to have more discussions which won't fucking do a thing since we've been talking and discussing for the past 12 frigging months". It's a bit of a mouth full i understand but at least people will know what i'm about and what i stand for.

I'd go into discussions with a velvet glove and bitch slap everyone with it.

But thats my anger out of the way. See how i didn't go into much detail and just sort of baffled with you with meaningless sentences and bizarre hate filled rants? Yeah that was intentional. Why go into detail and explain something that will just cause more anger from yours truly. Instead i'll remain relaxed and loving. Everyone loves that David.

Right now i'm debating what time i should go to get my haircut. It looks a shocking mess. I've let it grow too long but i've not had much time to get it done what with work, going out, drinking, sleeping and all the other stuff in between. It's not as if i need to get much done it just needs to be shaved clear. This time i'm having the challenging debate of whether to get a number one and look like a chemo patient again or a tidy medium number three.

That is how exciting my life is.

Anyway i'm off back into my bed to bum about a bit more...i have an interesting entry for you all soon where i discuss how i rule the universe. You've heard about how the world was round and in orbit around the sun? Prepare to have your mind BLOWN away.

Gracias,

Yours truly.

Birthday Antics.

Another action packed weekend continues tonight as i'm off to a wedding to continue the drinking and frolics that started last night at my sisters birthday. Everyone is getting old it's incredibly disturbing. My sister is now 27 years old? Holy crap what's all that about. But anyway back to the birthday night. It turned into a drunken mess. A lot of people are nursing major hangovers. I even have a bit of a headache from it all. But what else is new.

Sister wanted a fancy dress halloween theme for her birthday. I being lazy, unmotivated and arrogant left it till the last minute to decide what to wear. In the end i went for a shitty cowboy fancy dress outfit which i thankfully managed to find with help from Emma (yeah that Emma). All in all it consisted of cowboy hat (3 sizes too small which later got robbed in the blue angel), waist coat (from a pirate outfit the year before), porno style moustache and guns from a little boys first cowboy set...

I was surprised as everyone else to see Heath Ledger in my kitchen

I didnt think i looked too bad until i realised the efforts everyone else had gone to in their outfits. We had a joker, sweeney todd, a frankinstein...all amazing outfits. Then we had a bloke with a kids cowboy hat which doesn't fit properly. Thankfully the large amounts of alcohol available meant i could forget what i looked like and concentrate on getting drunk. Mission accomplished.

A motley crew.

Starting a night out at home means you don't spend much but get hammered before you get into town which can be a costly error of judgment. So it was a relief that i headed into town drunk but not incapacited for town purposes.

Ended up in the blue angel (no surprise there) and actually was the last person standing or at least i managed to lose everyone else. There i was at 2:30am propped up against a bar chatting to the bar man again then i realised that will had said he would pick me up if i fancied later on. I rang him once and got no answer and instead of thinking to myself 'hmm he's probably asleep i'll leave it' i just thought he would be watching tv and not able to hear the phone. So i rang again. Possibly again a few more times until Will did pick up and said he'd come and get me...Sorry will. Also sorry for driving around Liverpool for 30 minutes whilst Cat tried to remember where she was staying over. I drunkenly found it hysterical but quite possibly a sober man who had been woken up in the middle of the night might not have appreciated the sheer comedy.

I had met up with Alan who stole my guns, this is after my cowboy hat was stolen, but somehow managed to lose him as i went to the bar. I turned around and he'd disappeared somewhere into the mass of people. 6 texts later and i was no clearer to findimg where he'd gone. Missing in action so to speak.

I continously picked up poor cat throughout the night since i'd never picked up a person properly before and she was incredibly light...plus it looked cool being a heroic cowboy even though i had technically been shot in the head...

Now i might for a 30 minute quick sleep and prepare myself spiritually for tonight. But before I go i'm sure some people are wondering if i did anything bad last night. Actually not. Unless you class public exposure in a car and continously picking people up in my arms. Thankfully i don't class any of those things bad...

I've just re-read this entry and it's absolutely boring as sin. It didn't flow as i wrote it and it wasn't in the slightest bit interesting. So i apologise now. I might write another entry once i get in a bit drunk it's sure to be more interesting.

Until next time fans
